How a TodosPy courier works

Being a courier is not a separate sign-up but a permission the site administrator turns on. All courier work goes through the Telegram bot, not the site.

Before you start: courier status can't be set up on your own. Ask a TodosPy administrator or moderator to assign you as a courier by your email (“Couriers” section of the admin panel). Only then do the steps below become available.

Connect the Telegram bot

Once you have been assigned as a courier, open your account on the site /account — a block will appear there “Courier” with the button “Connect Telegram”. Press it — Telegram opens and the delivery bot is linked to your account.

Telegram is not connected — without it you will not receive delivery orders.

✓The bot will confirm the link and immediately offer to mark yourself “on route” — the next step.

Go on route

Orders only reach couriers who are marked “on route”. In the bot press “🟢 On route (accepting orders)”. When you finish work, press the same button again; it becomes “🔴 Off route”, and new orders stop arriving. You can check the status with the command /shift.

✓As soon as you are on route, the bot immediately sends you all orders that are looking for a courier at that moment.

Accepting an order

When the seller presses “Find a courier”, the task message goes to all couriers on route at once. Whoever presses first “Accept” gets the order, and the bot shows the others “already taken”. If the order doesn't suit you, press “Decline”.

✓After “Accept” the buttons change to “📦 Picked up the item” — the order is now assigned to you.

Pick up and deliver

When you arrive for the item, take it from the seller (they hand it over with the “Hand to courier” button on their side) and press “📦 Picked up the item”. After delivering to the buyer, tick both buttons, in any order: “✅ Item handed over” and, if you collected cash, “💰 Money received”.

✓The seller and the buyer see the updated status on the site right away — no need to call or write separately.
If you accepted an order by mistake — for example, an old button was still on the screen — the bot will restore the correct order status when you press again; nothing breaks. Tasks from one seller to the same address can be picked up together — the task text will show it.
