Nintendo Switch – Mario vs. Donkey Kong

Description

Mario vs. Donkey Kong is a remastered version of the original Game Boy Advance game, launched on 16 February 2024 for Nintendo Switch. Mario must recover the Mini-Marios, toys stolen by Donkey Kong, going through over 130 puzzle and platform levels, distributed across eight classic worlds and two new ones, “Merry Mini‑Land” and “Slippery Summit”. The title features precision platforming and puzzle mechanics: running, jumping, accessories like a hammer, keys, colour switches and teleporter boxes. The Switch version adds extra difficulty with Plus and Expert levels, as well as a Casual mode with no time limit and an extra life, ideal for players who prefer a more relaxed challenge. It also offers local co-op play for two players, incorporating Toad as a second character in some modes. The graphics engine is updated, with visuals inspired by a modern style similar to that of Super Mario 3D World and re-orchestrated music. After completing the main game, the Time Attack mode is unlocked with score and speed challenges. The Switch version improves the experience with shorter loading times, support for both digital and physical formats, and a dynamic soundtrack.
