Indicaciones: Tratamiento de la hipertensión esencial en adultos. Reducción de la morbilidad cardiovascular en adultos con: Enfermedad cardiovascular aterotrombótica manifiesta (historia de enfermedad coronaria, ictus o enfermedad arterial periférica) o diabetes mellitus tipo II con lesión de órgano diana documentada. Contraindicaciones: Hipersensibilidad al principio activo. Segundo y tercer trimestre del embarazo (ver en restricciones de uso). Trastornos obstructivos biliares. Insuficiencia hepática grave El uso concomitante de Telmisartán 40 mg con medicamentos con Aliskiren está contraindicado en pacientes con diabetes mellitus o insuficiencia renal.
