Description
Acción Terapéutica: Analgésico narcótico. Posología: Vía de administración: I.V, I.M., y subcutánea. Dosis usual para adultos: como analgésico: Vía I.M o subcutánea 5 a 20 mg (en general 10 mg inicialmente) cada 4 horas, según necesidad. Para dolor crónico severo el medicamento también puede administrarse por infusión I.V. Vía I.V.: 4 a 10 mg diluidos en 4 a 5 ml de agua estéril para inyección administrados lentamente. Para administración vías epidural o intratecal, la posología debe ser indicada por el médico. Dosis pediátrica usual: como analgésico vía subcutánea de 100 a 200 mcg (0.1 a 0.2 mg) por kg de peso corporal cada 4 horas, según necesidad sin sobrepasar los 15 mg por dosis. Vía I.V.: 50 a 100 mcg (0.05 a 0.1 mg) por kg de peso corporal administrados muy lentamente.
