Asociaciones para el tratamiento de la tos irritativa o no productiva. Contienen expectorantes y codeína (dihidrocodeinona o dihidrocodeína), que actúa a nivel central sobre los centros bulbares de la tos y posee además acción analgésica y antidiarreica. La codeína posee alto poder antitusígeno a dosis bajas -como las incluidas en estas asociaciones-, los efectos analgésicos aparecen a dosis altas. Posologia La dosis se establecerá individualmente de acuerdo con el criterio médico y cuadro clínico del paciente. Precausiones Embarazo: Categoría C: Potencialmente riesgosas, evaluar riesgo beneficio. 3er. trimestre Categoría D: evidente riesgo fetal, usar como último recurso. Lactancia: Probablemente seguras a dosis habituales. Pueden producir sedación y farmacodependencia.
