Description
Indicaciones: Tratamiento sintomatico de la enfermedad de Alzheimer de grado leve a moderado, con mejoría de la esfera cognitiva y global. Posologia: Por vía oral, 1 dosis en la noche al acostarse. La solución puede diluirse en agua y beberse inmediatamente. Dosis inicial 5 mg, que puede elevarse a 10 mg por día después de 4-6 semanas, en series de al menos 6 meses. Dosis mayores a 10 mg por dìa no aumentan eficacia y disminuyen su tolerancia. Contraindicaciones: Ulcera péptica en actividad. Retención aguda de orina. Trastornos graves de la conducción aurículoventricular. Precauciones y Advertencias: Embarazo: Categoria C: potencialmente riesgoso, evaluar riesgo/beneficio. Ulcera gastroduodenal. Enfermedad del seno carotídeo. Bradicardia. Antecedentes de síncope. Epilepsia. Asma. EPOC. Uso de relajantes musculares tipo succinilcolina. Reacciones Adversas: Náuseas, diarrea. Cefalea. Vómitos, dolor abdominal. Alucinaciones, agitación, agresividad. Sínd. neuroléptico maligno. Síncope, mareos, insomnio. Astenia, anorexia. Incontinencia urinaria. Erupción, prurito.
